MANTECA, San Joaquin County — October 31, 2026. Anyone using Manteca’s local bus service needs to check the revised route map rather than rely on a timetable saved before October. Manteca Transit rolled out its fixed-route network redesign on October 1, 2026, with new alignments, updated timetables and a fifth route intended to expand service coverage.

What has changed?

The city’s official network-redesign announcement says the plan aims to improve connections between neighborhoods, schools, jobs, shopping and the transit center. The current Fixed Route Service & Fares page lists Routes 1 through 5, maps, timepoints, transfers and individual bus-stop changes.

Importantly, the city says nine bus stops were discontinued on October 1. Those include several former Route 2 stops and stops associated with Routes 3 and 4. A stop disappearing from the new map does not necessarily mean the neighborhood has no bus service: the city publishes the nearest replacement alternatives for each affected location.

Which locations are affected?

The city’s discontinued-stop guidance identifies affected locations including Wawona Street at Carson Avenue, Tahoe Street at Champagne Lane, Daniels Street at Royalle Place, Daniels Street at Junction Drive, Northgate Drive at Hoyt Lane, Northgate Drive at Pajaro Avenue, Northgate Drive at North Union Avenue, London Avenue at Chadwick Park and Zurich Drive at Geneva Way. Riders should check the official list for their particular replacement stop rather than assume a route number alone identifies it.

How do the schedules work?

The city lists hourly service on several routes and different weekend availability. For example, Routes 1 and 3 have no weekend service on the published schedules, while Routes 2 and 4 list Saturday service. The new Route 5 connects with the other routes at the Transit Center. Service times and accessibility arrangements must be checked on the individual timetable before travel.

What should riders do today?

Download the latest route-specific maps from the city transit page, use the linked real-time tracker, and contact Manteca Transit at (209) 456-8888 with questions about a discontinued stop or accessible travel. The new network should not be judged solely from a September schedule or an unverified neighborhood rumor.
