MANTECA, Calif. — Organizations planning projects for low- and moderate-income residents can review the city’s fiscal year 2026–27 federal community-development funding documents. Manteca’s website includes a Notice of Funding Availability, applications and a checklist for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs.
What kinds of projects can qualify?
The city explains that CDBG funding can support eligible community-development activities benefiting lower-income residents, subject to federal program rules. The activities must meet a qualifying U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development objective. HOME funding is a different program concerned with affordable housing, and it has its own restrictions and application conditions.
Who administers the funding?
Manteca identifies itself as a subrecipient and pass-through funding partner of San Joaquin County, which acts as the entitlement agency. Organizations should not assume the city is directly distributing unrestricted grants or that having a local address alone makes a proposal eligible.
How to apply responsibly
Applicants should download the complete 2026–27 notice, check the deadlines and eligible project types, gather the required financial information and confirm any matching-fund or reporting obligations. The public landing page alone does not verify whether a particular application window remains open today. Funding amounts and awards depend on the adopted plan and agency decisions.
